얼마전 발매된 클라라 슈만 & 파니 멘델스존의 피아노 트리오 앨범(CDA68307)으로 실내악 애호가들에게 큰 사랑을 받았던 내쉬 앙상블.

 

1964년 설립되어 런던 위그모어홀의 레지던트 챔버 앙상블을 맡고 있는 내쉬 앙상블은 세계 최고 수준의 멤버들로 구성, 다양한 편성을 구사하면서 300곡이 넘는 세게 초연을 이룬 영국 최고의 앙상블이다. 이번에는 각각 솔리스트로서도 활발하게 활동하는 5인의 연주자들이 피아노 트리오, 현악 4중주, 첼로와 피아노, 비올라와 피아노라는 다양한 편성으로 막스 브루흐의 실내악 작품을 녹음하였다.

 

브루흐의 오랜 작곡 커리어에서 처음과 끝을 수록한 프로그램으로, 바이올린 협주곡 외에는 저평가 되어 왔던 브루흐 실내악의 매력을 멤버들 개개인의 뛰어난 테크닉과 놀라운 공감대의 앙상블로 재조명한다.
